Asian Le Mans Series entry confirmed for Manchester

British racing driver Jack Manchester can confirm today that he will take part in the 2019/2020 Asian Le Mans Series with his Thunderhead Carlin Racing squad. The exciting new challenge will see the talented racer compete at a whole host of new circuits in the four-round championship taking in China, Australia, Malaysia and Thailand.

2019 has seen Manchester take on his debut season in the European Le Mans Series in his Dallara P217 with Thunderhead Carlin Racing and, as the ELMS season draws to its conclusion this weekend, Manchester already has his next challenge on the horizon. Switching tyre supplier will be one of the many new aspects he will face along with learning new circuits all the while racing in completely new conditions.

“This is going to be a new and exciting challenge for me and the whole team!"

"I seriously cannot wait to tackle these circuits and enjoy some hard racing,” said Manchester. “I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to take on this series and it seems as though each of the tracks will offer something completely different to get to grips with.

“I’m thrilled that we get to continue the journey together and enter another brand new series as Thunderhead Carlin Racing; we’ve made huge strides in the European Le Mans Series this past season and I think we can really hit the ground running for the first round in Shanghai.”

The Asian Le Mans season will kick off in November with a visit to the Shanghai International Circuit in China; a short break will follow this before the second round at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia in January. A back to back event will round off the 2019/2020 season in February with a visit to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia before the season finale in Burriam, Thailand.
