Busy Manchester moves onto Brands

Jack Manchester is set to compete in his third race weekend in as many weeks as he takes to Brands Hatch to compete in the sixth, and penultimate, round of the Radical Challenge Championship.

Manchester’s return from the summer break has been filled with success in all areas as the 18-year-old continues his impressive form. Two podiums on his return from the summer break at Snetterton motivated Manchester to go even stronger at Silverstone where he made two trips to the podium, collecting his first race win since May.

The undulating 2.433-mile long circuit is a favourite amongst the fans with a natural amphitheatre offering unrivalled views of the action from various vantage points. For the drivers, the track is demanding with gravel traps providing little room for error and the limited overtaking opportunities make getting the perfect lap in qualifying all the more vital.

Jack now heads for Brands Hatch, a track where he picked up a second place in his first ever season in motorsport and is confident he can continue his current form into this weekend.

“Brands Hatch is a highlight of the season for me, it’s a great track to drive on, with lots of legendary history. The past two weekends we have been really strong and competitive. The aim for this weekend is to reach the podium again but we’ll need to be switched on from the minute we arrive.”

Barry Mears, Head of the MBP Academy, believes Jack can have another impressive weekend.

“Jack’s recent run of form has impressed everyone and we know he can carry his level of performance into Brands Hatch this weekend. Jack is driving with confidence and enjoyment - which is always great to see as he enters a vital part of the season. Hopefully Jack can keep his great form going and return to the podium this weekend at Brands Hatch.”

A busy Saturday sees Jack in action at 09:00 for qualifying with three races following at 12:25, 14:15 and finally at 16:25.
