At Jack Manchester and Nico Bastian’s first race weekend of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Silver Cup, and Jack’s first time racing in Blancpain GT, the team came away with a fantastic double class podium. Jack and Nico qualified seventh for the first race, and twentieth for the second.
Nico took the start for the first race of the season, getting the car in a great position in class when Jack climbed into the cockpit. Jack fought hard in his first Blancpain GT race, holding his own as he battled with others on track to achieve his first class podium with second place.
Jack started the second race in the car. Off the line, he made some brilliant gains in the first lap, taking advantage of an incident ahead to move three places up the field. His 35-minute stint saw him drive competitively, holding third in class strongly before handing the car over to Nico to end the race.
Another clean race saw the duo take their second podium of the weekend, with a third-place finish behind sister AKKA ASP Team car, SMP Racing, and class winners #3 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT.
