Manchester ready for European Masters at Silverstone

Back-to-back race weekends for Jack Manchester sees the 18-year old travel to Silverstone for the second time this season, this time to compete in the fourth round of the Radical European Masters.

After his fantastic return from the summer break, where he collected two podiums at Snetterton, Jack is ready and prepared to compete in Radical’s premier international championship at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone.

Manchester’s last visit to Silverstone in June saw the Scorpio Motorsport driver battle high temperatures to pick up a handful of good results and deliver some impressive on-track displays.

Switching from the Radical Challenge Championship to the Radical European Masters for this weekend, Jack will be in for a stern test as he prepares for three, hour-long races in his Radical SR3 as he goes head-to-head with the best competition that the Radical series has to offer.

His only appearance in the Radical European Masters this year came back in May where the 18-year-old delivered a sensational performance to take home a race win and a podium after starting the races way down the order.

Jack feels he is ready for the test this weekend.

“I’m really excited for this weekend, it’s going to be a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. We had a good weekend at Snetterton with two visits to the podium which could have been even more! It’s a solid field of experienced drivers this weekend at Silverstone and I’m relishing the challenge of three endurance races.”

Barry Mears, Head of the MBP Academy, is confident Jack can have a good weekend at Silverstone.

“This weekend is going to be a good test for Jack and one he is more than ready for. After a great weekend at Snetterton, Jack is driving really well and is looking very confident behind the wheel. With three endurance races this weekend, Jack is going to have remained focused and switched on for the duration of the weekend as there’s little room for error.”

Free practice commences proceedings at Silverstone on Friday at 11:45. Saturday plays host to the weekend’s first race at 17:00, with Sunday hosting races two and three at 10:55 and 14:55 respectively.
